The following is a press release obtained from the Holliston Police Department:

The Town of Holliston is seeking qualified applicants for the position of School Crossing Guard.

Applicants must hold a high school diploma. Candidates should also have experience directing traffic at assigned crossings to protect children and provide orderly traffic movement.

The position requires the applicant to enforce proper use of crosswalks, while ensuring that no children enter the street while traffic is moving.

The candidate must be able to deal well with children and work under varying weather conditions. The candidate must also be reliable and punctual and must be CPR and First Responder certified.

Serving as a temporary matron may be required during non-school time.

Compensation is $14.62 per hour for approximately 19 hours of work  during the school year.
