Tuesday's forum will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Holliston High library and will aim to raise awareness of the inherent dangers and liabilities of liquor violations.

Holliston Police Chief John Moore and Detective Dave Gatchell will present a brief program addressing alcohol violations and social host liability during the High School PTSA meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Holliston High School library.

According to a press release from Holliston police, the event seeks "to promote the safety of all persons and property within the town" and "raise the awareness of parents, students, and school officials regarding the use of alcohol and the consequences from statutory and policy standpoints."

The presentation will explain the policies of the Holliston Police Department, which hopes to continue to "work closely with the community in explaining the applicable laws pertaining to alcohol possession, transportation and procurement." HPD also aims "to work with parents, students, and school officials" to minimize or possibly avert the consequences of illegal conduct relative to the alcohol laws of this State," according to the release.

Attendees are reminded that Gatchell and Moore cannot comment on ongoing criminal matters that may be related to alcohol violations.
