Holliston Police Investigating Wednesday Break-Ins

Police believe one of the crimes may be related to similar robberies in Medway the same afternoon.

Holliston police are investigating a pair of Aug. 10 break-ins, one of which may be connected to similar crimes in Medway the same afternoon.

Two homes were burglarized on Wednesday in Holliston, one on Highland Street and another on Rolling Meadow Drive near the Medway line, Chief John Moore said Thursday evening.

In all three cases, televisions, jewelry and computers were stolen.

According to Detective Charles Todd, police believe the two Holliston crimes are unrelated, but are confident the Rolling Meadow Drive burglary is connected to an identical break-in on Summer Street in Medway the same afternoon.

In the Medway case, the victim came home while the crime was in progress, seeing the suspect's car in the driveway, Todd said. The witness described the car as a silver, four-door sedan driven by a woman with a man and woman as passengers.

The witness told Medway police the trunk was open and a large TV was inside as the suspects drove away, Todd said.

Todd said HPD is working closely with Medway police on the Rolling Meadow and Summer Street robberies. He also said residents with information on any of the three crimes should contact him at 508-429-1212.
